Cathodic Protection. Solution
The Cathodic protection is a method for electro-chemical corrosion control, consisting of the polarization of the metal to protect to more electronegative potentials than natural potential of the metal. This electrochemical inhibition of corrosion a metal cathode-face making a different metal. The principles of cathodic protection are based on a potential / pH thermodynamic diagram called Pourbaix diagram.
The application field of the cathodic protection extends to all metal structures buried or in contact with water, concrete reinforcement, inside pipes, water tanks, tank bottoms (inside and out), sluice, sand filters, input filters for cooling water, etc.
